Kentucky’s unemployment rate continued to decrease as it fell to a seasonally adjusted preliminary April 2015 level of 5 percent from a revised 5.1 percent in March 2015, and well below the national rate, according to the Office of Employment and Training (OET), an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.
The state rate in April 2015 was 2 percentage points below the 7 percent rate recorded in April 2014, and was the lowest jobless rate since June 2001 when it was 5 percent.
