The deadline for the submission of the Nomination Form to KYR has passed. Any further nominations will have to be made from the floor of the opening session at the KYR Annual Convention.

Terms for all KYR elected positions and KYR elected positions to NAR shall be limited to two consecutive full terms.

An asterisk (*) indicates that the individual is not eligible to run for another term in their current position.


Qualifications & Responsibilities According to KYR Bylaws:


Article IV – Officers

Section 1. The officers of KYR shall be comprised of the President, the President-Elect, the Treasurer, and the Treasurer-Elect. (Amended 9/27/17) Section 2. Qualifications for officer are as follows: (Amended 9/27/17)

(A)   Having a principal office in Kentucky;

(B)   Having been a Director for two (2) or more of the previous five (5) calendar years; (Amended 9/23/04)

(C)   Not concurrently holding the office of president in any Member Board or Association.

To qualify as a year of Board of Directors service under this Section, a Board of Directors member must attend a majority of the Board of Directors meetings in any given calendar year of service. (Amended 9/27/17)

Article V – Board of Directors

Section 1. (C) Each (Senior Vice President) is required to have served as a Director in the past five (5) years. (Section Added 6-15-18)

Section 6. Qualifications for Director are as follows:

(A) Being a member in good standing of the Kentucky Association of REALTORS® and (Section Added 10-01-09)

(B)   Having been a delegate, either at-large or local association/board appointed, at least two (2) of the preceding five (5) years; or

(C)   Having served on no less than two (2) KYR committees, work groups, task forces or service areas or other KYR affiliated organizations within the previous five (5) years. (Amended 10-01-09)

Article X – Delegate Body

Section 1. The Delegate Body shall be responsible for: (A) Electing the officers of KYR;

(B)   Electing representatives to NAR;

(C)   Approving the strategic plan and budget prepared and recommended by the Board of Directors.

(D)   Furthermore, and as a specific power delegated to it by the membership, the Delegate Body may review and reverse decisions of the Board of Directors upon a majority vote of the delegates including delegates who also serve as Directors. (Amended 9/27/17)

(E)   That by petition of one-third of the Delegates (not including Directors), any issue may be brought before the Delegate body within seven (7) days of transmittal of the special called meeting minutes. Directors will not be eligible to vote as delegates issues. (Added 9/27/17)

Kentucky Boards and Commissions

If you would like to offer your time and talents in service to the Commonwealth as a gubernatorial appointee, Kentucky REALTORS® nominates candidates to be considered by the Governor for available positions on several boards and commissions related to the housing industry, including Kentucky Real Estate Commission, Board of Home Inspectors, and Radon Program Advisory Committee. KREC Commissioner

Any Real Estate Licensee wishing to be considered for a 3-year term as a Kentucky Real Estate Commissioner should submit an application form to Kentucky REALTORS®. To qualify, one must have been a resident of the Commonwealth for 10 years and have held a Kentucky Real Estate license for 10 years.

Deadline for submission is October 11th to Kentucky REALTORS®, by mail 2708 Old Rosebud Road, Suite 200, Lexington KY 40509 or by e-mail (rwilson@kyrealtors.com). Candidate interviews will be held on October 15, 2019 in Lexington.

KRI Trustee: Application

Deadline: September 8

If you have an interest in serving as a Trustee for the Kentucky REALTOR® Institute (formerly the Kentucky Real Estate Education Foundation), the educational arm of Kentucky REALTORS®, please complete the application. Trustees are responsible for overseeing and helping to plan educational programs and services in all areas such as continuing education, designations, CORE, prelicensing, etc to members and non-member licensees throughout Kentucky.
